The Laurie Raphaël restaurant is going maple! Until April 22nd, lunch and weekends are dedicated to maple products and its harmonies. The menu is an affordable yet gastronomic experience concocted by father-and-son duo extraordinaire Daniel and Raphaël Vézina.
For the purpose of this unique and time sensitive menu, the restaurant and its waiters have dressed for the occasion: maple syrup cans decorate the outside terrace, a mobile of wooden utensils at the entrance while tables are covered with checkered red and white cloth.
I felt as though every dish was carefully orchestrated to please my palate. The beverages were harmoniously chosen from l’Île d’Orléans microbrewery. But the centre of the show: the delicate flavours of Jean-François Doyon’s Aux Mille Érables’ organic maple syrup. WOW! Imagine vanilla, caramel and subtle wood flavours combined together to create a rich, smooth and velvety maple syrup.
Have a look at the menu, but be aware, the following pictures may induce salivation. A huge thank you to Suzanne and Daniel for the invitation.
